Eliza's father dies of a heart attack and she takes over his detective agency, against the wishes of everyone around her, including family friend Inspector William Wellington (aka the Duke). In her first case, Eliza is hired by an unscrupulous male client trying to find his long lost niece. Can she prove to herself that she has got what it takes to be a detective?
